Russian industry adapting to coronavirus measures

28 April 2020

Russia’s biggest industrial companies have been forced to adapt to the situation caused by the pandemic by building temporary accommodations for its staff, making respirators and even managing bus services in order to keep their business. Russia’s largest petrochemical producer, Sibur, is providing housing for its employees who tested negative for COVID-19 and has set up a bus service to bring them to and from work. Phosagro, Russia’s largest phosphate fertilizer company, has turned hotels owned into dormitories and potential quarantine locations and used its own buses in an effort to keep its workforce healthy and isolated. Steelmaker Severstal will soon start producing respiratory masks for work and for the personal use of its employees.
