Russian oligarch to buy Zuno bank

14 September 2015

Russian billionaire Michail Fridman is poised to buy Zuno bank. The acquisition of Raiffeisen Bank International’s struggling online arm will help Fridman expand his Alfa bank to the Czech and Slovak markets. Lidové noviny writes that the transaction has already been approved by both Alfa and Raiffeisen, but the Austrian central bank still needs to greenlight the deal. A final contract has not yet been signed.
