A decade after purchasing land near Otopeni airport, S+B Gruppe secured a permit to build a hotel on it. The hotel will be operated by an international chain and offer 250 rooms. Work is expected to start this fall or next spring, according to Alfred Michael Becker, who holds a 50-percent stake in the company. The land covers 30,000 sqm. S+B Gruppe bought the parcel for about €20m. The airport is about 17 km north of Bucharest.
