Speaking from Soul, capital of the third largest investor in the Czech Republic, prime minister Bohuslav Sobotka said it was likely further projects worth billions of crowns would be forthcoming. South Korean companies are interested in projects in the transport and military sectors. Transportation Minister Dan Ťok announced that the construction of a rail connection between Prague and the Václav Havel airport was of potential interest to the Koreans. He said this after being given a ride on a high speed train that runs in the country. “I’d happily take some inspiration from here because it’s definitely a country that’s developing quickly,” said Ťok. “I think it’s definitely possible to copy what they’re doing here.” The Czech Republic is offering training facilities for military units combating chemical weapons attacks. Sobotka said the trade mission would be a success if two major deals were concluded: Hyundai Mobis in northern Moravia, and Nexen Tire in the Usti region.
