Saint-Gobain invests CZK 1.2bn in glass-fiber production

Saint-Gobain is planning to start operating in a new manufacturing facility in Litomyšl, Czech Republic, in November. The French producer of construction materials invested CZK 1.2bn to expand its production lines over the past two years. The move increased its production capacity by 35 percent and created 220 new jobs. In 2016, Saint-Gobain Adfors invested CZK 500m into the new hall in Litomyšl. The company primarily focuses on glass-fiber materials. It also produces to glass-fiber grates, which can be used to reinforce asphalt road surfaces and triples their lifecycles. The technology was developed in the US, and Saint Gobain started production in the Czech Republic three years ago.
