Saint-Gobain to invest CZK 820m in Hořovice

27 June 2014

Saint-Gobain intends to expand its investments in the Czech Republic, while at the same time slashing €800m in operational costs across Europe. The French corporation has decided to pour CZK 820m into a new production line for Sekurit, one of the companies it owns in the Czech Republic. Sekurit produces glass for cars. Expansion work on the plant in Hořovice should start this year, and the factory should be operational in two years. The new line will create 80 to 100 new jobs and it is expected to help double the plant’s revenues. The factory reported revenues worth CZK 2.1bn in 2012. Saint Gobain will receive CZK 280m in incentives from the Czech government.
