Sale of former hospital at Patrónka attracts well-known names

13 January 2017

The Slovak Ministry of Home Affairs is selling a former hospital in Bratislava’s Patrónka area. Three companies submitted bids for the property, which is valued at €32m. The ministry has two weeks to check the bids and announce a winner. Software company Eset would like to build a modern IT center in Patrónka. Forest Hill Company also submitted a bid. The company is led by entrepreneur František Hodorovský, owner of City Hotel Bratislava and Holiday Inn, who used to head Slovenská kreditná banka. Trend Reality writes that Hodorovský was behind some of the bank’s bad loans. The third bid came from a developer active in Patrónka. The latest tender, which closed Jan. 9, follows two unsuccessful rounds, in which the ministry did not succeed to achieve the price it envisioned.
