Sales drop 11% for Prague residential developers

Sales of new flats fell by 11 percent in the first quarter of 2018 to 1,200. According to a study by the developers Trigema, Skanska Reality and Central Group, it’s the lowest figure in the last six years and is a third lower than it was in the busiest quarter in 2015. The developer with the biggest market share, according to the study was Central Group with 19.1 percent. It was followed by Finep, with 13.5 percent and Vivus which sold 6.2 percent of the total. The biggest number of flats were sold in Prague’s 5th, 9th and 10th districts. The new study shows that while sales may be falling, prices of new flats in Prague rose by 22.8 percent to an average of CZK 88,552 per square meter.
