According to a report from the Realtors Association of Sarasota and Manatee counties, the area set a record for the most single family home sales transactions completed in a single year. The two counties reported 20,691 transactions closed in 2015, up 1,302 transactions over 2014. The median sales price for a single-family home rose 22% last year to $239,900 in Sarasota County and a 12% increase $262,963 was seen in Manatee County. There was good news for the condominium market as well with median sales price increases of 22% and 6% respectively for the two counties.
“These truly are exciting times for the real estate community and reflects the hard work and dedication of our realtor members,” wrote the president of the Realtors Association of Sarasota and Manatee Linda Formella.
