After €500,000 of renovation work, the old Salinas Hotel in Aveiro will reopen its doors on June 3 with under a new name, Studio Hotel, a brand which focuses on the leisure and business segment. “The remodeling was needed to meet the growing demand for tourism in the city, to exceed customer expectations and to ensure high quality standards,” says Carla Santos, manager of Salinas Hotel. The Studio Hotel has 18 rooms, with nine double rooms and nine twin studios with kitchenettes (including a stove, refrigerator and dishwasher). The three floors are covered with with art and Portuguese culture ranging from poems by Fernando Pessoa to paintings by Amadeo de Souza Cardoso and Almada Negreiros.
