Samsung plans to open a new research and development office in the city of Łódź, Deputy Mayor Marek Cieślak told the Polish Press Agency PAP.The investment is expected to add 150 new jobs to the local labor market. The office is expected to open at the beginning of next year and will focus on advanced digital television software as well as software for Samsung’s mobile devices. Cieślak said the city has been in talks with Samsung since February. He did not disclose any further details.
