New data from CoreLogic shows that cash sales of homes in the North Port-Sarasota-Manatee region were down 5.9% in September compared to the same time period last year. Over 47 percent of all sales are carried out in cash, well above the national average, which fell 3.4 percentage points to 32.5%. Overall, the state of Florida has a cash sales rate of 45.2%, which is third highest in the country. The state also boasts four of the top five metro areas for cash sales in the country. Miami-Miami Beach-Kendall took first place, followed by West Palm Beach-Boca Raton-Delray, Philadelphia, Fort Lauderdale-Pompano Beach-Deerfield Beach, and North Port-Sarasota-Bradenton.
