A subsidiary of Brookfield Property Partners signed a purchase agreement with Savills Fund Management GmbH to take over the prime Potsdamer Platz portfolio in Berlin. The cost of the deal was not disclosed. Potsdamer Platz offers 267,000 sqm of rental space. Tenants include Hubert Burda, TollCollect, Etihad Airways, ICBC (China’s largest bank), Daimler Group and Habitat. Savills Fund Management sold an office portfolio, including 11 German assets, to NorthStar for €1.1bn at the end of 2014.
