The Polish group Scallier has put up for sale a package consisting of 3 functional retail parks and 2 under construction, which it owns in Romania.
The portfolio of properties for sale includes 5 projects from the Funshop Park network – the Roșiorii de Vede Project, opened last year, which includes a 2,200 sqm Lidl and a 6,200 sqm retail park; the project in Focșani, also inaugurated last year with a Lidl and shops with a leasable area of about 5,000 sqm; the project in Timișoara, opened this year in place of the former Uniteh construction machinery repair factory with a Kaufland and retail spaces of around 10,800 sqm; the project in Turda, where commercial spaces of around 9,000 sqm are being developed next to Kaufland, and the project in Vaslui, where a retail park with an area of almost 10,000 sqm is being built next to Kaufland.
“We are developers, which means our products are for sale. We have already made transactions on the Romanian market and we are constantly looking for investors. We entered the Romanian market before the pandemic and we have no plans to leave Romania in the next 10 years or so”, said Wojciech Jurga, managing partner and one of Scallier’s shareholders.
