Scandia Food Sibiu took over Rotina Product, a company which owns a cannery in Hunedoara, western Romania. The price of the deal was not disclosed. Rotina Product, which produces canned meat, pâtés, mustard and mixed canes, was founded in 2011 and currently has more than 50 employees. It reported a turnover of €1.9m in 2015 and a net profit of €85,000.
Scandia Sibiu, which produces canned meat and vegetables, reported a turnover of €47.6m in 2015 and a €0.4m loss.
