SCS Stahlschmidt to expand its plant in Tatabánya

SCS Stahlschmidt, the Hungarian subsidiary of the German cable manufacturer Bowden cable, is planning to expand its plant with the addition of an 800 sqm production hall at its base in Tatabánya, northwestern Hungary. The cost of the deal is estimated at HUF 500m. Currently, the Hungarian subsidiary operates two production halls of 2,000 sqm each, working with a staff of 350. Bowden cables are a specialized product usually used used to transmit mechanical force or energy by the movement of an inner cable relative to a hollow outer cable housing.
