Starting next year, taxes for seaside resorts will increase by 7 percent to cover a jump in utility and gas prices, said Dragos Raducan, vice president of the Romanian Tourism Employers’ Federation.
The federation is also proposing, however, that the government reduce the VAT rate from 24 percent to 9 percent on meal services at seaside resorts to be more in line with other European countries.
