The Romanian investment fund SIF Banat Crisana and the local firm Calipso recently opened a new 147-room DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Oradea. This is the second hotel under the DoubleTree brand in Romania. The first opened in Bucharest last year.
Hilton International has 300 hotels worldwide and 30 in Europe. In addition to the DoubleTree hotels in Oradea and Bucharest, the Hilton franchise network in Romania includes the Athenee Palace Hilton in Bucharest and the Hilton in Sibiu. Each of these hotels is owned by a local investor.
