Panattoni is to expand its park in Legnica with a zero-waste concept. The investment’s tenants were joined by a company specialised in renewing electronic goods and household appliances to be resold over the internet. The company has leased 8500 sqm which it will occupy later this year.
In line with our ‘Go Earthwise with Panattoni’ concept, projects are developed in a sustainable manner confirmed by environmental certification. Panattoni’s parks also provide an excellent platform for the expansion of enterprises whose activities are themselves inherently good for the environment. A prime example of such a company is a European firm, which gives electronic products and household appliances a second life and sells them over the internet. It will occupy 8,500 sqm in Panattoni Park Legnica. “Our tenant’s activities contribute to reducing the negative human impact on the natural environment and fit in perfectly with the zero-waste philosophy. Recycling, material recovery, and resource reduction are also key aspects of Panattoni’s projects – and so for such a tenant to choose us represents the best possible recognition of our green revolution,” said Damian Kowalczyk, development director at Panattoni.
The new tenant will occupy almost all of one of the halls under construction in Panattoni Park Legnica, which will come into use in the fourth quarter of 2021. This will be the company’s first Polish centre and – thanks to its excellent location – it will be ideal for supplying clients in Western European markets. The facility will be designed for stationary work and light production, including the efficient processing of electronic equipment and household appliances.
Panattoni Park Legnica is situated just off the S3 expressway, which runs the entire length of Poland’s western border – between Świnoujście in the north and Lubawka in the south. The A4 motorway, which connects the country’s south-western and south-eastern borders, also runs close to the park. This location, with its convenient connections to three of Poland’s borders, has emerged as an excellent alternative to the Wrocław market and is ideal for the activities of international businesses.
Panattoni Park Legnica, the first modern warehouse park to be developed in this city, will eventually comprise 100,000 sqm. Once the latest stage is completed in November, its built-up area will amount to 40,000 sqm. Panattoni Park Legnica has received BREEAM environmental certification at the ‘Very Good’ level.
