SEGRO is set to add 12,500 sqm of logistics space to its scheme Airport Park Berlin. The three new buildings to be built include a 7,900 sqm warehouse, 2,100 sqm of service space and 2,500 sqm of offices. The construction of Phase 4 will start in June with completion scheduled for May 2019. The work is being handled according the DGNB System (Gold Certification) standards. According to Andreas Fleischer, Business Unit Director Northern Europe at SEGRO, demand is strong for high quality logistics space around Berlin so the newly built space should lease easily due to its location and its high level of energy efficiency.
