Segro acquired an 11 ha property in Cologne’s Bickendorf district that it plans to redevelop into an industrial and business park. The price of the deal was not disclosed. Segro will remodel many of the site’s existing buildings and add new modern buildings. Construction is set to start this summer. The paint manufacturer AkzoNobel vacated the premises on Vitalisstrasse earlier this year, relocating its headquarters to Cologne’s Ossendorf district.
