Sekyra Group unveiled its plans for Rohansky island in Prague 8 to the west of the Invalidovna metro station. The developer a collection of apartment buildings on the site in the project’s first phase, which could get underway as soon as next year. Sekyra Group is displaying its plans for what will eventually be a multifunctional zone at Prague’s Center for Architecture and City Planning (CAMP). “We expect that the first phase of construction should start next year, the rest in 2030,” said the institute’s director Ondřej Boháč. Architects Eva Jiřičná and Jakub Cigler have been retained for the project. Sekyra Group has been a continual presence this week at CAMP, as the company made a major public presentation of its plans for the second phase of Smichov City, which involves the construction of a four-building campus for Česká spořitelna, residential buildings, hotel and a central boulevard connecting the northern edge of the new district to a footbridge with access to the Smichov train station.
