2 November 2016

Sekyra Group opened public discussion about its redevelopment plans for the area surrounding the Smíchov train station in Prague 5. The developer has placed a model prepared by students of the Faculty of Architecture in Prague as well as visuals and a description of the project, Smíchov City by Sekyra Group, on the top floor of the Nový Smíchov shopping center at Anděl. The opening of the exhibition was attended by the mayor of Prague 5, Radek Klíma, as well as the project’s architect, Ladislav Lábus, the director of Nový Smíchov, David Pažitka, Sekyra Group CEO Leoš Anderle and the company’s head of development, Igor Klajmon. Anderle explained that public discussion will continue for three and half years, with comments and suggestions from Prague residents about the project’s public space and transport infrastructure to be incorporated into the planning documentation. Sekyra plans to apply for a planning permit for the first phase at the Na Knížecí bus station in the second quarter 2017. The first phrase will include 400 flats with 10,000 sqm of offices at the corner of Nádražní street.
