The developer Luděk Sekyra found a new operator for its Savoy hotel in Špindlerův Mlýn in North Bohemia’s Krkonoše mountains. The Czech-owned Asten Hotels chain will reopen the hotel in December. Savoy has been closed since its original operator, Bohemia Club, owned by Slovak businessman Tibor Michálek, went bankrupt six months ago. Sekyra bought the hotel in 2009 for CZK 550m and refurbished it into a five-star called Savoy Royal Hotel. The new operator, which focuses on high-end boutique hotels, plans to leave out the word Royal from the hotel’s name and downgrade it to a four-star establishment.
