20 September 2017

Sekyra Group and Česká spořitelna are partnering on the redevelopment of area surrounding the Smíchov Railway Station in Prague 5. The bank decided to have its new headquarters built in the new neighborhood and launched an international architectural contest for the project in cooperation with MOBA studio. The bank foresees the new headquarters as a campus that will offer not only office space for the bank but also services and shops for the public. The general director of Sekyra Group Leoš Anderle said that the developer welcomes the bank’s decision as the presence of a strong partner will accelerate the revitalization of the southern part of the area around the railway station. Architect Petr Hlaváček will be the chairman of the jury for the two-round contest. The jury will chose 15 participants in the first round, with the six most interesting designs advancing to the second round.
