Sekyra Group plans to start development of new neighborhoods in Prague districts of Karlin and Smíchov in 2018. Redevelopment of the third large development area, Žižkov Cargo Station in Prague 3, has been blocked by construction ban applied by local administration. Redevelopment of Rohan Island in Prague Karlín in Prague 8 into Rohan City and area of Smíchov railway station in Prague 5 will cost tens of billions of crowns and is expected to take ten years. Sekyra Group wants to launch pre-sale of flats at Rohan Island by the end of this year and hopes to secure planning by the same time, according to Hospodářské noviny. Construction of the flats could start next year. Rohan City will offer 220 flats, shops and 30,000 sqm office, designed by renowned architects Jakub Cigler and Eva Jiřičná.
