Senior living to replace Florida Hospital Apopka

16 November 2015

A new senior living community is to built on land where Florida Hospital Apopka currently stands, once the hospital moves into a new facility. The project for the new 400 unit senior center calls for independent-living units, assisted-living units, memory-care units, cottages, town homes and skilled-nursing services. The property will also feature an indoor fitness facility and access to on-site primary care and other services.
Construction on the new Florida Hospital Apopka, a $203 million, 120-bed facility, started in March and is slated to be completed by 2017. It will nearly double the size of Florida Hospital’s current capacity of just 50 beds.
