The government of the Republic of Serbia broke ground on the second bridge over the Sava River at Ostruznica. A ceremony marking the beginning of construction was attended by the Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and the Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic.
The €29m investment is being financed by a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The project should be completed in March 2018. The 2 km bridge is being built parallel to an existing one. Strabag won the tender for the construction works.
