Serbia’s consumer prices rose by 3.6 percent year-on-year in May, after increasing by 2.8 percent in April, official statistics showed.
On a monthly comparison basis, Serbia’s consumer price index rose by 0.5 percent in May, after rising by 1.1 percent in April, according to the the national statistical office.
In May, the biggest price increase in annual terms was registered in transport (9.6 percent), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (5.5 percent) and utilities (4.9 percent) and in monthly terms, the prices of restaurants and hotels went up 0.7 percent, prices of transport rose 0.5 percent and prices in the sector of healthcare rose 0.4 percent.
