Construction work on the 270 Savinac tunnel near Takovo in central Serbia got underway with a ceremony attended by the country’s prime minister Aleksandar Vucic. He was accompanied by the Minister of Construction Zorana Mihajlovic. Work on the tunnel began as soon as work on another tunnel, part of a section of road between Ljig and Preljina was, completed. Roughly 90 percent of the length of the road has now been completed. The main contractor is the Azerbaijani company Azvirt for this €308m investment.
