Serbia’s Deputy Prime Minister Zorana Mihajlovic has signed a memorandum of understanding with China Communications Construction Company officials regarding the construction of a new section of motorway between Pozega and Boljare. CCCC will work with Serbian engineers on project preparation for the 107 stretch of road whose design work will cost roughly €50m. The total estimated cost of the construction of this highway will be more than €1.5bn. Last year, the presidents of China and Serbia signed a contract in Beijing for the Preljina-Pozega portion of the road. Construction there should start in March 2019 and is due for completion within two years.
