The National Assembly of Serbia has passed legislation clearing the way for the construction of apartments for members of the country’s security forces. The maximum price for 1 sqm will be €500 plus VAT. Completion is scheduled for 2020. The estimated value of the project is €64.35m. A total of 1,578 apartments will go up across the country. In Vranje, south Serbia, 190 apartments will be built. Nis will get 188, while 200 will be delivered in Kraljevo. Kragujevac, meanwhile will get 200. Novi Sad and Belgrade will each get 400 apartments under the project terms. Zorana Mihajlovic, the Serbian minister of construction, transport and infrastructure, said construction should start in August in Kraljevo, Nis and Vranje. According to a survey, 18,905 people from security forces are interested in these apartments.
