A total of seven bids have been submitted by investors interested in building a liquified natural gas (LNG) terminal on the Croatian island of Krk in the Adriatic Sea according to LNG Croatia. The terminal will be used to receive, store and process liquefied natural gas.
The international tender procedure was in accordance with the EU requirements and directives and within the legal framework of Republic of Croatia.
The €600m in the LNG terminal which will have a nominal capacity of 6 billion cubic meters along with the construction of gas pipelines and pumps, whose total budget could reach €1bn. Work on the terminal should begin over the summer and last for three years.
