A Sheraton hotel has opened in Novi Sad, northern Serbia, following a €15m investment. The four-star, 150-room hotel, part of the Marriott International franchise, has 120 employees. It is located in the city center, near the fairgrounds, on a 13,000 sqm plot. The property includes seven conference halls and a spa. The investor is MK Group, which has poured about €200m into hotels in Serbia and the region over the last decade. MK Group opened two Kempinski hotels in Croatia and Slovenia in recent years. The company is planning new projects and investments in Montenegro, Croatia, Slovenia.
