Siemens has completed the expansion of two of its factories in Sibiu and Buzias. The two production units are operated by the local company SIMEA Sibiu SRL. The 7,800 sqm factory in Sibiu was expanded into a new building, while a third production hall opened at the Buzias facility, increasing its space to 3,300 sqm.
“Romania is a center of interest for companies with activities in production amid a well-qualified workforce and competitive costs and proximity to Western markets. Expansion of production and investment in research and development demonstrates Siemens’s commitment to Romania,” said George Costache, CEO of Siemens SRL.
Siemens currently operates four production facilities in Romania.
