Sight Real Estate looks for uses of former hospital

15 December 2015

Sight Real Estate president Michael Mincberg says the company has acquired the old Edward White Hospital in St. Petersgurg for $2 million. Located at 2323 Ninth Avenue North, the six-story building covers 125,000 square feet and is the tallest building in the neighborhood. Preliminary plans call for luxury apartments and with a flat, concrete roof, and potentially a roof terrace. The facility was closed in mid-September of 2014. However, Mincberg says there’s been considerable interest in the property from other developers and that other opportunities could be pursued. He said other potential uses for the building included an assisted living facility or offices.
