Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic said that foreign exchange inflows for the first five months of 2020 would be less than €220m to €250m. This primarily due to the effects that the Coronavirus has had on tourism in Serbia. Ljajic said that caterers and hoteliers had expected this to be the best start to the tourist year since 1989, since Serbia had a 21 percent increase in tourists during January and February.
