Skanska Property held a cornerstone-laying ceremony for Corso Court, now underway in Prague’s Karlín district, this week. The building is going up in Prague’s 8th district on the plot next to Corso Karlín. Groundwork started last fall, and construction of the first floor is underway. Completion is expected in August 2015.
The building will offer 17,000 sqm of office space. Skanska will occupy half of the space. Several company divisions will be headquartered at the site, including construction, development and residential.
This will be Spanish architect Ricardo Bofill’s fifth project in Karlín. Corso Court is Skanska Property’s sixth office investment in Prague. The developer plans to secure LEED Gold certification. The building will feature a garden with a WiFi connection. Office space at Corso Court carries a headline rent of €15/sqm/month.
