Skanska sold 450 flats in 2016

Skanska sold 450 flats on the Czech market last year and leased 90 percent of its new office project Five before completion. It also broke ground on its new office project Visionary in Prague 7-Holešovice and started construction of Port Karolína in Prague 8-Karlín, selling 60 percent of the flats in the first phase. The second phase is scheduled to hit the market in Q2 2017. Skanska bought a 7 ha brownfield in Prague 10-Malešice, expanding its landbank for residential development.

The company has consolidated its activities in Hungary and Romania and strengthened its position in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The consolidated company increased its profit by CZK 29m y-o-y in 2016. Skanska’s construction division in the Czech Republic and Slovakia reported an operational profit of CZK 382m, up 8 percent y-o-y. Revenues, meanwhile, decreased from CZK 15.8bn to 14.2bn.
