Skanska to break ground on two new office projects in Bucharest

19 February 2016

Skanska is planning to break ground on two new office projects this year. Work on Equilibrium, located in the north of Bucharest, is scheduled to start in the second quarter. The scheme includes two 10-story buildings. The second project will be built in the west of the city, on a plot that used to house the former Pumac factory. Skanska acquired the land last year.

“With Pumac, we selected a team of consultants and have started working on the concept,” said Aurelia Luca, managing director of Skanska Property Romania. “We will start most likely in the third quarter of this year. We do not exclude the acquisition of more land on the former industrial site, but we did not start discussions in this regard.”

Skanska is nearing completion on the third building of its Green Court project and is already looking for a buyer. “We are in discussions to sell the third building. We do not exclude that maybe Globalworth will buy, given that they have also bought the first two building,” said Luca.
