Škoda Auto ends massive recruitment campaign in Kvasiny

At the end of an exhaustive recruitment exercise that began in 2015, Škoda Auto’s production plant in Kvasiny na Rychnovska now has all the employees it needs. Since it began the aggressive campaign to take on more staff, the company increased its payroll by more than 3,000 people to 8,500. The plant produced 295,000 vehicles in 2017 and plans to exceed 300,000 in 2018. It was able to manage just 142,000 as recently as 2015. Since 2015, the auto manufacturer has invested CZK 11bn into its factory, where it produces Škoda’s Superb model, along with the Kodiaq, Karoq, and Seta’s Ateca. Beginning in 2019, hybrid models of the Superb will be rolling off the production lines. Roughly 3,000 foreigners have come to work in Kvasiny. A total of 11,000 people work in the Kvasiny – Solnice industrial zone.
