The company Pars nova will be making a CZK 460 million investment into its factory in Sumperk where it repairs and modernizes train cars. The investment, which will include the installation of new equipment and modernizing of facilities, will increase production capacity by 35 percent. A total of 17 new stations for work on train wagons will be built along with a new workshop for chassis. Pars nova was incorporated into Skoda Transportation in 2008 and currently employs around 700 people. The investment program is in line with promises made by PPF when it took over Skoda Transportation in 2018.
