SkyRise Miami wins FAA approval to become city’s tallest building

25 February 2016

SkyRise Miami, a mixed use entertainment complex, has been granted approval by the FAA to be built to a height of 1,049 feet above sea level. The project was originally approved in 2008 for a height of 1,000 feet. The plans for the hairpin-shaped tower include an amusement-park style ride that quickly drops people down its side, a 550-foot bungee jump, a ballroom, a moving movie theater and a nightclub. The approval guarantees that the building will now be Miami’s tallest structure.
