Slovakia construction sector up 8.4% in September

Slovak construction output was up 8.4 percent m-o-m in September, the best result in the EU alongside Hungary, according to data published by Eurostat. Compared to the same period last year, the Slovak construction sector grew by 26 percent, which is the most marked improvement in the European Union, which slowed slightly on average by 0.4 percent m-o-m in September, but strengthened by 1.8 percent y-o-y.

Slovenia was on the other side of the spectrum, with construction production dropping by 5.2 percent m-o-m, followed by Portugal, which fell by 2.2 percent m-o-m and Sweden (-1.9 percent).
