In January 2021, the value of the sentiment indicator increased by 2.2 percent points compared to December 2020, but with minus 7.1 points it was more than 11 points lower than before the epidemic in January last year, according to the latest data from the National Statistical Office Slovenia.
The monthly increase was influenced by all confidence indicators, except one. The following indicators had a positive influence: the confidence indicator in manufacturing by 1.5 percent points, in services by 1.3 percent points, among consumers and in construction by 0.1 percent points. The impact of the retail trade confidence indicator was negative by 0.7 percent points.
On a monthly basis, all indicators contributed to the improvement in the economic climate in January, except for the confidence indicator in retail trade, which fell by 0.7 percentage points. The confidence indicator in manufacturing increased by 1.5 percentage points, in services by 1.3 percentage points, while the confidence indicators in construction and among consumers were higher by 0.1 percentage points each.
