Slovenian purchasing power parity 2nd in CEE

28 October 2015

As of 2014, Slovenia’s GDP as measured by purchasing power parity (PPP)is 83 percent of the European Union average, according to a study by the Economist Intelligence Unit. That makes it the second most developed country in the CEE region, but represents a fall from 2008 when the PPP figure stood at 91 percent of the EU average.

Strong private consumption figures in recent years have boosted the results. The Czech Republic enjoys the top spot in the region in terms of purchasing power parity.
