The Slovenian battery producer Tab Mezica plans to invest €25m into its subsidiary in North Macedonia. It will expand the production of industrial and starter batteries located in Probistip. The facility will initially require the hiring of 80 new people, meaning that its workforce in Probištip, where Tab has been generating €60m annually, would increase from 414 to about 500. Tab Mežica, a privately owned company and one of Slovenia’s most successful, having generated €280.5m in sales and a €26.5m net profit in 2018.
