Fifty creditors of the failed Slovak construction company Váhostav have protested against what they claim is a fraudulent restructuring process. The leader of the group, Milan Blaho of the Remal Industries, argues that Váhostav abused the bankruptcy law, severely damaging smaller suppliers along the way. The creditors have turned to Slovak President Andrej Kiska for help. Váhostav has 1,241 creditors, but it claims it was doomed by public orders granted at unrealistic prices and places the blame for its demise on the government. Váhostav owes its suppliers some €85m, writes Trend.sk.
