Small office units in demand

Small office space is in demand in the Czech Republic. Contracts on 30 to 100 sqm of space made up 24 percent of the total leases signed during the first half of the year, according to DTZ. “Sometimes a need for 70 sqm of expansion space is a reason for relocation,” said Pavel Domalewski, Head of Landlord Representation at DTZ. Heitman’s Pekařská Office Park in Prague is an example of a project which is now 90 percent occupied thanks to a string of small lease deals. Heitman is now offering 20 sqm “starter offices” at CZK 7,000/month. Účetnictví On-Line, tesa tapes, Briggs & Stratton, Aker Midsun Engineering and Häfele are new additions to the tenant list, which already includes Adidas, DuPont, Hipp, Reebok and Beiersdorf Nivea.
