So far 846,000 copies have been issued PESEL numbers for refugees from Ukraine who crossed the border after the invasion of Russian troops, informed the government plenipotentiary for war refugees from Ukraine, Paweł Szefernaker.
“Until today, by 1:00 p.m. 846 thousand PESEL numbers have been issued for war refugees from Ukraine. […] 96% of these PESEL numbers have been issued to women and children,” Szefernaker said during a press conference.
He stressed that 425,000 PESEL numbers were issued to adults, 136 thousand. – children aged 12-18, and 284,000 – children up to 12 years of age.
So far, the border with Poland has been crossed by over 2.7 million refugees from Ukraine. Bossernaker indicated that in recent days the border has been crossed by an average of 20-30 thousand. people a day.
